Associate Position
The Jordan, Edmiston Group (JEGI), a leading provider of independent investment banking services for the media and information industries, is looking to hire an Associate for its thriving M&A practice.
Responsibilities
JEGI Associates assist the firm's CEO, Managing Directors and COO in M&A activities, including:
- Providing financial analyses of companies, corporate divisions, and industries;
- Working on document and research project teams; and
- Supporting all aspects of the M&A transaction process – from document preparation through closing.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree, with outstanding academic record.
- MBA or CPA a strong plus, or undergraduate finance and accounting coursework and three to five years' business experience in investment banking, accounting, publishing and/or information services or new media.
- Strong finance, analytical, modeling and accounting skills.
- Excellent writing, research, presentation and communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Candidate Profile
Candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter, capable of undertaking challenging analyses, research and information-gathering projects, and writing assignments. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are valuable components of an applicant's overall capabilities. Her or his ability to interact well with clients at top management levels will be important.
