William Hitzig
Chief Operating Officer
William Hitzig, COO, oversees the firm's research and documentation teams and has been involved in nearly 200 JEGI transactions since joining the firm in 1996.
Prior to joining JEGI, Mr. Hitzig had 25 years' experience working at B2B and B2C media and direct marketing companies, as well as a for-profit association.
As an entrepreneur who started companies in both the US and Latin America, Mr. Hitzig has been instrumental in refining JEGI's integrated approach to M&A advisory assignments and in developing dedicated research, documentation, and due diligence support teams. JEGI's unique approach to M&A transactions helps clients maximize value through a thorough, efficient, and timely process.
Prior to joining JEGI, Mr. Hitzig served as group vice president and general manager of the Children's Television Workshop Publishing Group where he oversaw the strategic planning, circulation, finance, manufacturing, and marketing services functions for CTW's $45 million magazine publishing operation.
Prior to joining CTW, Mr. Hitzig served as vice president of marketing for the Magazine Group of Whitney Communications Corporation, where he was responsible for circulation, marketing, strategic planning, and research for this publisher of special interest consumer magazines and both paid and controlled circulation B2B publications. He previously served as president of Saltwater Farm, a direct marketing firm specializing in gourmet seafood.
Mr. Hitzig earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and an AB in English from Harvard University.
