Peter A. Derow
Following a 33 year career in the publishing industry, Peter Derow is currently a director of a number of private companies, including: Argus Research Group; Aspire Media; GlobalSpec; OnTargetJobs; Publishers Clearing House; and WMI Media Holdings.
From 1988 to 1997, he served as President and CEO of Institutional Investor, which was a wholly owned subsidiary of Capital Cities/ABC until 1995, and then a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company. Earlier, Mr. Derow served as Chairman and President of Newsweek, Director of The Washington Post Company, President of the CBS Publishing Group, and Senior Vice President and Director of CBS. While at CBS, he was one of the founders of Prodigy.
Mr. Derow holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Harvard College and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
He is married, has three grown children and lives with his wife in Bedford, New York.
